Please be advised that roadwork is currently underway, and town crews will be stockpiling excess fill dirt from this work on our parcel of land adjacent to the walking trail, across from the hospital. This is being done in preparation for a future wheelie park that the town plans to build.
Because the area is low-lying, fill dirt is needed to raise the ground level. To save time and money, it is more efficient to store the dirt at this location rather than transporting it to another site and hauling it back later.
Please note that this activity is not related to the current application before Council for a new commercial development. No final decisions have been made regarding that proposed development. The public hearing and subsequent readings of the bylaws are scheduled for November 10th.
