2025 Election Voter Information

Voter Eligibility

A General Municipal Election will be held in the Town of Raymond on Monday, October 20, 2025. To vote in thein this election, you must be:

• At least 18 years of age;
• A Canadian citizen;  and,
• A resident of the Town of Raymond on the day that you vote.

Registering to Vote

All voters must be on the Permanent Electors Registry. To register to vote and confirm that your voter information is correct, voters should to go to voterlink.ab.ca

I.D Requirements

To vote, you must bring one piece of ID that includes your name and current address. Photo ID is not required.

Accepted forms of ID include:

• Alberta identification cards;
• utility bills;
• bank or credit card statements or personal cheques;
• driver’s licenses;
• proof of vehicle ownership (registration or insurance certificates);
• government cheques or cheque stubs;
• income or property tax assessment notices;
• insurance policy or coverage cards;
• letters from a public curator, public guardian, or public trustee;
• pension plan statements of benefits, contribution, or participation;
• residential lease or mortgage statements; and
• statements of government benefits including such as employment insurance or old-age security, and disability support etc.

Important Dates

• Nomination Period: January 1, 2025 – September 22, 2025
• Nomination Day: September 22, 2025 at 12:00pm (the last opportunity to file nomination papers)
• Withdrawl Deadline: September 23, 2025 at 12:00pm
• Advanced Polls: October 11, 2025 8:00am-12:00pm @ Raymond Town Office
• Candidate’s Forum: October 16, 2025 @6:30pm @ Raymond Broadway Theatre
• Institutional Voting: October 20, 2025
• Election Day: October 20, 2025 10:00am-8:00pm @ the Raymond Seniors Centre
