Raymond Public Wifi
In November 2014, Council organized a Broadband Committee to establish a community WiFi network at many municipal facilities. Additionally, they were instructed to look into the
feasibility of the Town developing a municipally owned fibre network through which phone, cable and or internet services could be provided to residents at a reduced cost, while providing significantly better speeds than is currently available by the private sector.
If you have questions or comments regarding either of these initiatives, you are welcome to talk the following Broadband Committee members: Greg Robinson, Russell Bohne, Stewart Foss or Patrick Roach. Additional inquiries may be directed to Kurtis Pratt at the Town Office.
Since that time, the committee has almost completed Phase 1 of the public WiFi network and has this service currently available at the following municipal locations:
To use this service you do not need to create a username or password, simply select the Raymond Public WiFi wirless signal and click “Continue” on the home page you will be directed to. Work will continue and this service will also be available once Phase 2 is completed at the Ag Society buildings, Business District, Centennial Park, Community Centre, Museum and Victoria Park.
If you see this sign you will be able to “Stay Connected” while enjoying our community facilities.
