We would like to thank the MCCAC (Municipal Climate Change Action Centre) for their $7000 contribution towards the 4 year lease of a Kia Niro (plug-in hybrid) This vehicle has been used by Council members and staff for travel for out of town meetings and conferences. This saves the town from expensive mileage claims when they conduct business on behalf of the Town. Additionally, the EV Hybrid significantly reduces fuel consumption for shorter trips and helps the Town achieve their energy efficiency goals.
The MCCAC has played a key role in many projects the Town has undertaken in recent years. From our first in Canada Electrical Net Zero project, our Energy Manager program and many cost reduction energy retrofits we have completed! Thank you to the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre for all they are doing!
