Cold water = hard ice!
Thanks to the generous support from the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre REC Program and the FortisAlberta Save Energy grant the Town of Raymond was able to install the @REALice Canada system at the Raymond Arena! This small system will result in BIG savings both in costs and energy use.
“We are very excited to receive this grant funding from the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) to help fund the installation of the REALIce system in our ice arena. Not only will we benefit from great quality ice, but we will be able to reduce our operating expenses year after year, which allows us to better manage our finances.” Mayor Jim Depew
“The Town of Raymond has been fortunate to receive a number of grants from the MCCAC which have helped us replace and improve our municipal assets, reduce our overall operating costs and improve our performance. With this MCCAC funding, we will receive 75% of our installation costs back and anticipate that this improvement will reduce our annual utility costs at the arena by at least $3,500/year. Even little changes, compounded over time add up to huge savings that will provide lasting benefits to the community. We would like to thank the folks at the MCCAC for their continued support of our community.”
Thank you to the MCCAC & FortisAB for thier support in our community!
