The Town of Raymond is thrilled to share that the Province of Alberta has provided an additional grant of $1,574,602.25 to help offset inflationary and economic cost increases experienced on our Wastewater Treatment System Expansion Project since 2018. This is in addition to the Province’s previous contribution of $2,666,666, bringing the Province’s total support to over $4.24 million.
We gratefully acknowledge the Province of Alberta for their continued partnership and support.
The $10.4 million project is a vital investment in our community’s future and is funded through:
- Government of Canada: $3,200,000 (30.77%)
- Province of Alberta: $4,241,268.25 (40.78%)
- Town of Raymond: $2,958,731.75 (28.45%)
Council has worked hard to ensure that the Town has been able to fund our portion of this project through grants and other revenues and has not had to incur additional long-term debt.
These improvements ensure the long-term safety, environmental sustainability, and capacity of our wastewater system—supporting our residents and future growth.
