Small habits make a big difference when it comes to keeping our community clean and collection days running smoothly.

The Town of Raymond’s Operational Services team is asking for your help to reduce preventable bin damage, avoid missed pickups, and keep waste collection safe and efficient for everyone.

Here are a few do’s & don’ts to help keep Raymond clean, safe, and running smoothly for our community.

Do: Deposit all waste in the Town-issued waste collection cart in a plastic bag tied at the top ensuring the lid can close.

Don’t: Overfill the waste collection cart or leave loose garbage inside or outside the bin.

Do: Place your cart at the curb by 8 a.m. on collection day, with the opening facing the street, and at least 1 metre from cars, bins, or other obstructions. Bring it back in before 8 a.m. the next day.

Don’t: Block your cart with vehicles or place it too close to other bins, fences, or obstacles, and don’t leave it at the curb after collection day.

Do: Dispose of household domestic garbage in your cart.

Don’t: Dispose of automobile parts, landscaping materials, manure, soil, rocks, dead animals, objects too large to fit, dangerous, toxic, or hazardous waste.
