The Town is exploring interest from community members in joining the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC).
Currently made up of seven Council members, the MPC may be restructured to include members of the public. This committee plays an important role in shaping Raymond’s future by reviewing development applications and ensuring they align with the Land Use Bylaw.
If implemented, this opportunity would involve a twice-monthly time commitment, with compensation provided.
Residents of Raymond who are 18 or older and interested in potentially serving on the MPC are invited to express their interest by emailing tylernelson@raymond.ca with the subject line “MPC Expression of Interest.” The deadline for inquiries is June 30, 2026.
Please note: this is not a formal application, but a way for Council to gauge community interest. If the proposed restructuring moves forward, a formal recruitment and review process will follow.
