Earlier this week Council voted unanimously to begin issuing voluntary cat licenses to residents who would like to register their feline friend(s) with the Town. The idea is that by purchasing one of these licenses, you will increase the chances of your cat being returned to you, should it go missing.
The fee for a fixed cat license will be $15 while the fee for an unfixed cat license will be $25.
Furthermore, in the coming weeks Council will consider passing a motion to donate all of the collected cat license fees to the Last Chance Cat Ranch to support their rescue efforts in the community. To show your support for this motion, please contact Jon Wensveen by phone at 403-753-3322 (1007) or by email at [email protected].
Finally, please remember that all of the fees collected for dog licenses will be used to help fund a dog park. So, if you haven’t already, please register your dogs with the Town as well.
