Garbage Collection
The Town of Raymond offers a weekly garbage collection service that is included in each residents monthly utility billing. The Town is broken down into four quadrants with a day allocated for each zones collection.
GARBAGE MUST BE OUT BEFORE 8AM ON YOUR SCHEDULED COLLECTION DAY FOR IT TO BE PICKED UP. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE LID ON THE GARBAGE BIN IS COMPLETELY CLOSED OR YOUR BIN MAY NOT BE PICKED UP.

Our Waste Management Centre has 3 sections. The Recycling Centre, the Cells and the Transfer Station. The Town of Raymond operates the Recycling Centre and the Cells, while Chief Mountain Regional Solid Waste Authority operates and manages the Transfer Station. Always remember to secure your loads while transporting your waste.
Recycling Centre (Open 24 hours/day)
We are pleased to offer 24 hour access to our newly enhanced Recycling Centre. It is located within the Transfer station (590N 300E) and we accept the following materials:
Green Bin Collection:
Cardboard, glass, metal, paper and plastic
Glass – Please rinse and remove labels.
NO CERAMICS, COLOURED GLASS OR LIGHT BULBS
Metals – Please rinse and remove labels.
NO SCRAP METAL, AEROSOLS, BATTERIES OR TIN FOIL
Paper – Only dry, clean material. Please bag and tie loose paper.
NO BOOKS, TISSUE OR WRAPPING PAPER
Plastic – Please rinse containers. Bundle and tie loose bags or plastic wrap.
NO STYROFOAM, TOYS, HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE OR ITEMS WITH CONTENTS REMAINING
Household Hazardous Collection:
Chemical, oil and paint
E-Waste Collection:
Microwaves, televisions, dvd players, computers (desktops, laptops & tablets), printers, computer accessories, networking equipment, photocopiers, typewriters, phones (landlines & cell phones), answering machines, stereo equipment and overhead projectors.
Yard Waste Collection:
Grass clippings (unbagged)
Metal wire and wooden pallets are also accepted here.
The Cells
(Open Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from 10am-6pm)
The Cells consist of other bulk disposal sites. It is located to the left & right of the Recycling Centre and we accept the following materials:
Propane Tank Collection:
Propane tanks
White Goods Collection:
(Must purchase a $40 White Goods Permit at the Town Office Before Disposal)
Refrigerators, deep freezes and air conditioners
Tree Collection:
Trees, tree branches, bushes and clippings
Lumber Collection:
Wood and structural timber
Tire Collection:
Tires
Metal Collection:
Metals objects
Concrete & Asphalt Collection:
Concrete and asphalt
Transfer Station

Chief Mountain Solid Waste Authority operates the Transfer Station. It is located to the left of the Recycling Centre.
Clean Up Program
Please note that the pickup of waste DOES NOT include E-WASTE products and Hazardous materials. If these products are placed on the curb, they will not be picked up.
