Council Preview: Monday September 14

Council will meet on Monday, September 14. The following is an overview of some key items on the agenda.

Public Hearing - Bylaw #1169-26: R2 to R1 LUB Amendment

  • Council is considering an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw that would change the zoning of a lot from Manufactured Home Park R-2 to General Residential R-1.

Bylaw #1170-26 Roof Mounted Solar Development Permit Change - First Reading

  • This Bylaw would amend the Land Use Bylaw to allow property owners to installation rooftop solar arrays without the need of a municipal development permit but still be subject to compliance with all other applicable standards of development within the Land Use Bylaw.

Bylaw 1186-26 Community Standards Bylaw - Third Reading

  • Council will consider recent revisions to the proposed Community Standards Bylaw, as well as review recently received public comments and may consider passing 3rd reading, which would bring the bylaw into force.

 

Community members can follow the discussion as Council reviews these items. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 14, with the Municipal Planning Commission meeting first, followed by the regular Council meeting.
