Keeping Your Garbage Bin Safe

We’ve heard from a few residents about stolen garbage bins and want to share some tips to help keep yours safe.

Garbage bins are the responsibility of the property owner and cost $130 to replace. Here are a few ways to help keep track of your bin:

• Bring your bin in: Put your bin out as close to 8 a.m. as possible on collection day and return it to your property when you can.
• Mark your address: Write or paint your address on your bin so it’s easy to identify.
• Record your bin number: Keep a note of your bin’s number in case wind blows it away from your property.
