Celebrating Maxine West: 2026 Council Volunteer Appreciation Award Recipient

The Town of Raymond is pleased to recognize Maxine West as this year’s recipient of the Council Volunteer Appreciation Award.

Maxine has dedicated decades to serving our community. For more than 30 years, she has supported Raymond Baseball as Secretary, helping coordinate the many details that make youth sports possible. She has also coached junior high and high school baseball for more than 20 years, encouraging young athletes through teamwork, discipline, and a love of the game.

Her contributions extend well beyond baseball. Maxine has volunteered her time to care for public spaces, support local youth, and preserve Raymond’s history through her work with the Museum Board. Through each of these efforts, she has helped make our community a more welcoming and connected place.

Maxine’s service reflects a genuine commitment to Raymond and its residents. She gives her time, talents, and energy without seeking recognition, making a difference through countless acts of generosity and care.

Please join us in congratulating Maxine and thanking her for her many years of service. She will receive her award at the Harvest Showdown on Friday, Sept. 25.

Support Raymond’s Little Free Pantries

Maxine’s dedication to serving others reflects the spirit of volunteerism that helps make Raymond a caring and connected community. You can carry that spirit forward at this year’s Harvest Showdown by supporting our local Little Free Pantries.

Representatives from the Little Free Pantry Board will be collecting hygiene product donations to help keep the pantries stocked and support our neighbours.
