Council Preview: Tuesday October 13

Council will meet on Tuesday, October 13. The following is an overview of some key items on the agenda.

Public Hearing – Bylaw #1170-26: Solar Collector Permit Change

  • Council will consider changes to the Town’s development process that would remove the requirement for residents to obtain a municipal development permit to install rooftop solar panels on their properties.


Bylaw #1171-26: Rezoning

  • Council will consider rezoning an industrial parcel for residential use.


ATCO & Fortis Franchise Fee Adjustment

  • Council will consider adjustments to the ATCO and Fortis franchise fees for the upcoming year.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, with the Municipal Planning Commission meeting first at 6 p.m., followed by the regular Council meeting.
