What are the additional taxes on my notice?

The Town of Raymond collects taxes on behalf of the Government of Alberta and the Ridge County Housing Board. This is not additional Town revenue. The Town’s role is strictly billing and collection, with no control over their budgets, allocations or operations.

Alberta Education

Education tax supports the public and separate school boards. The Government of Alberta determines the budget and amount of education tax each municipality in Alberta will pay.

Policing

As of 2026, policing is now reflected as a line item on resident tax bills. This tax is sent to the Alberta Government to fund RCMP services.

Ridge County Housing

Ridge County Housing is a local housing management body. This tax funds the operations of their senior facilities and support services.
