Building & Development

Building Permits are required for but not exclusively for: 

  1. The erection or construction of any building, including homes, sheds, garages, solar panels etc.
  2. The demolition, alteration or addition to any building, including decks with elevation of more than (24 inches) 600 mm above grade;
  3. The change of use of any building (example, retail to restaurant);
  4. The installation of mechanical equipment, wood stoves, space heaters or fireplaces;
  5. Swimming pools and hot tubs with a depth of more than (24 inches) 600 mm;
  6. Retaining walls with a height more than (36 inches) 900 mm.

Safety Codes and Inspections

Safety Code Permits (Building, Gas, Electrical, Plumbing)

Safety code permits are applied and paid for with Park Enterprises directly. Unlike larger towns or cities, the Town of Raymond does not employ internal safety code inspectors for the administration of the permits. Rather, our permits are forwarded to our contracted agency Park Enterprises Ltd. to handle the permit process, including, but not limited to the following basic services:

  • Permit Issuance
  • Administration of Permits
  • Safety Code Advise / Questions
  • Scheduling On-Site Inspections
  • Conducting On-Site Inspections
