Mayor's Message

Welcome home!

As Mayor of the Town of Raymond, I would like to thank you for taking some time to learn about our community.  Raymond has a proud history and we look to capture the success of our past as we move towards the future.  Our new website has been developed over the last year to provide a more interactive and informative medium, which we hope will promote communication between the Town and you, our residents.  We hope that this site will become one of your "favourites" and that it will help you feel more connected and valued as we move together towards a prosperous future.

I encourage you to become familiar with the new functions of our website.  On the home page will be links to our Raymond Get Active software and our Facebook page.  These sites can be a great asset in diseminating information that can be received at your convenience.

Also new to our website are our Ideas Forums, Community Classifieds and Community Polls. These tools are free and for public use.  The Ideas Forum and Polls are important tools that can help us gauge public opinion levels on various situations.  If you have a suggestion about something that would benefit the Town or a concern that you may have, post it on the site and other residents can either vote it up or down depending on how they view the situation.  If you are looking for a place to rent or something to buy, check out the Classifieds page and see what's available in Raymond.

All Town Bylaws, Council Agenda's and Minutes will be posted on the site for you to view if you are curious about what the Town's position is on a given subject.  We understand that nothing is more frustrating than trying to find current information on a site that is not maintained, so we will do our best to ensure that this new site will meet your needs.  If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know and we will see if it is feasible to incorporate it into our organization.

We are very excited about all that is going on and hope you will join us in our enthusiasm for this great community.  Due to excellent management and community support, our new facilities and infrastructure have placed us in a position of strength from which we can build.  We hope to be able to work with you in making sure that the our next hundred years is as good, if not better than our first!
