The Community Engagement Committee is currently accepting applications for members.
Committee Mandate: Review town policies and bylaws (ex. Public Participation, Procedure Bylaw), provincial legislation (Ex. Municipal Government Act, Public Participation Regulation), public participation best-practices and manuals, and report to Council with recommendations to increase citizen engagement in local government decision making processes.
Commitment: This is an ad hoc committee that will meet monthly for a one-year term.
Committee Membership: The Committee will be comprised of two members of Council and five members of the public
Who we are looking for: We are looking for people can work collaboratively with committee members and Council, people who have experience interpreting or writing policy, people who don’t fall asleep when they read policy, but above all we are looking for people with an interest/desire to be more involved with their local government and make Raymond a better place to live!
