UPDATE: Golf Course 2018

Date Posted: Apr 23, 2018

By now you have probably realized all the construction on the golf course over the last 4 months and are wondering what that will mean for golf in 2018? As part of the South Drainage Project that the Town received just over $2 million dollars in Federal and Provincial capital grant funding, the creek will be made deeper and wider throughout the entire course and 4 additional ponds will be created to allow for increased retention and capacity during significant water events.
Due to the extremely long winter and the delays this has caused on construction of Phase 3 of the South Drainage Diversion project, the golf course will be closed indefinitely for the 2018 season to allow for construction and to give the sod sufficient time to establish itself before the upcoming winter.
HOWEVER, there may be an opportunity to have a "soft" opening of the course in late 2018 but the decision on if the course will reopen later in this summer or what the rates will be cannot be made until construction is completed.
We realize the disappointment this news may cause our valued supporters but we are confident that this decision will place the course in the best possible position for many decades to come. We have some exciting announcements that we will roll out between now and the beginning of our golf season in 2019. Check back with us often to find out the latest information on your course!
