Council has passed 1st Reading of Bylaw 1093-20, Bylaw Enforcement Officer. Municipalities that employ peace officers are required to have a bylaw that outlines the powers and duties of bylaw enforcement officers, as well as disciplinary measures for misuse of power. The town of Raymond delegates bylaw enforcement to the Ridge Regional Public Safety Services Commission, the bylaw reflects this arrangement.
